The FALCO IP door controller is designed for access control of doors, intrusion alarm monitoring, time attendance, vehicle boom gate and other building facilities. The FALCO IP door controller is capable of controlling a single door by connecting to a central computer for remote controlling to be networked together and controlled using Falco Lite or Premium software, a real TCP/IP based Access Control Management and Alarm Monitoring Software.
Designed in an innovative modular fashion, Falco controller allows you to upgrade your system anytime from 1 to 10,000 doors by connecting to server via TCP/IP Local Area Network configuration and manage by Falco Premium System software. This modular, cost-efficient upgrade strategy ensures that you can always keep pace with your emerging security requirements while meeting your ongoing budgetary objectives. Its wide capabilities make it suitable for even the largest, most complex building architectures and the most demanding security requirements.
The FALCO IP door controller has 2 wiegand reader ports with one in and one out, and has a space for either the entry or exit reader to be mounted. The controller can be configured to work with almost all reader technologies without hardware change - including with Wiegand, ABA track 2 and contact-less Read/ Write smart card.
This IP controller provides direct communication through TCP/IP network. Each controller will consist of it's own IP address. Communication speed as compare to RS-485 is faster (100 Mbit/s).
Feature
Advanced Design
The Falco door controller uses the latest state-of-the-art flash memory technology which allows firmware upgrade. Essential equipment settings, card database and transaction database are stored in EEPROM, so that there is no loss of data during power outage.
Multiple Entry Access Mode
There are 3 different entry access modes that you can set to adjust to your security requirements: Card only, PIN only and Card & PIN only. This means a door can be programmed to operate on different entry access mode at either same or different time for each day of the week, including weekends and holidays. For example, a door can be programmed to operate on 'Card only' entry mode during office hours but automatically switch to 'Card & PIN only' entry mode after office hours.
Use of Single Card to Perform Multiple Functions
The prowess of the Falco door controller is its ability to allow a single card to perform multiple functions through software control. The types of functions consist of normal access control, programming, Arm/Disarm, guard tour, etc.
Schedules Settings
Up to 50 sets of weekly timers, where each daily timer consists of 3 sets of start and stop time interval settings can be used for system behavior control. These timers are also tagged to a day-of-week selection, which are used for all timers' related operations, such as locking and unlocking of doors, activating of User PIN function, etc.
Quite often you may want to unlock the office main entrance door during office hours, but the door shall be locked during lunch break and after office hours. This requirement can be achieved through timer(s) controls.
Alarm Monitoring Function
Alarm monitoring functions become available when Falco controller is operated from Falco PC software. Each Falco controller is equipped with 8 supervised inputs and 4 relay output. Since the maximum system size for Falco controller is 100 doors, such a system will have 800 input points and 400 output points for alarm monitoring usage. Users can set complex combination from Falco PC software. Thereafter, arming or disarming of alarm zones, and switching on or off output groups can be performed from any reader PIN keypad connected to the Falco controller.
Power Supply
Falco Controller comes with battery charging and a power regulation circuit. The input power requirement is 14VAC, and a lead-acid battery can be connected to the charger output. In addition, AC power failure, low battery cut off and battery low status sensing are built-in.
10-Digit MIFARE
Falco Controller now able to reads 10-digit card number instead of 6-digit. The more digit it can read, lower the possibility of reading duplicate card number. This will reduce the chances of number repeats or duplicates in large card volume. Identities mismatch might happen when there are duplicates card number and this will cause error to attendance report.

Product Features and Benefits
Features |
Benefits |
Going Digital |
Evolution from conventional or obsolete RS-485 or RS-232 based technology to future proof Falco IP system. |
Cost-Efficient Infrastructure |
Most facilities are already wired with twisted-pair infrastructures, so with IP access control no additional wiring is required. |
Scalability LAN / WAN architecture |
IP access control scales from one to hundreds of IP door access control in the increments of single controller. |
Global Antipassback |
Global Antipassback without the need of PC online 24 hours. Eliminates chances of failure when PC down. |
Reduces Bandwidth |
High speed communication up to 100MB/s will reduce the Network Bandwidth usage. |
High Speed Polling |
Data are transmitted in bulk therefore increase the speed of data transmission from controller to PC. This provides a real-time transactions event to the user. |
Peer to Peer Controller Communication |
Between controllers, they can communicate with each other. Therefore alarm signals can be sent in betweens controller without PC to be online. |
Wireless Networking |
Wireless can be use to save cable cost and also enable IP controller to be connected to those area where hardwire wiring is not permissible such as museum. |
Pattern Card Searching Algorithm |
For 100k user system with our patterned card searching algorithm, user can open the door in less than a second upon proxing on the card reader |
Integrated Power Supply Module |
Monitor AC failure and low battery. Battery cut-off feature. 3A supply and able to drive 2 electromagnetic-lock. |
Star Topology |
A controller will not affect the other controller communication as compare with Daisy Chain or looping between the controllers. Therefore it is easy to service and troubleshoot. |
Remote Site Access |
With the available network infrastructure, we can remote access and monitor branches from HQ via the internet/broadband. Also process data in HQ. By concentrating the monitoring of a number of buildings into a single location, client costs are reduced. |
3rd Parties Software |
Information or data collected in the server can be export to 3rd party’s software such as HR and payroll. |
Graphic User Interface |
Powerful yet Easy-To-Use GUI. Uses windows based GUI which is just point and click. |
Auto Detects |
No need to set the jumper on controller to address it. It will auto detect the respective IP on the board. Which means you do not have to set the IP number, if use our default IP and it will automatically save this in the database. The conventional 485 way you have to set the jumper and also remember the jumper address before you can install it. |
More Secure |
Our relay or door controller is inside the premises. Some low end product, the controller and relay are together. If you tamper with the relay using the magnet, you can easily open the door or damage the system. |
Ethernet Physical Transceiver (EPHY) |
Integrated 10/100 Mbps Ethernet physical transceiver (EPHY) to our processor. If a signal converter is use to convert theRS/232 or 485 signal to TCP/IP the maximum speed is 115 K/B compare with 100 M/B for the integrated EPHY. Software driver will be required to intercept theRS/232 or 485 protocols to be converted to IP protocol. This not only slows down the system but reduce the reliability of the system. |
Auto Setup |
Our Falco IP software is intelligent enough to set the PC IP to our default IP address system. No network IT specialist is required. |
10 Digit Card
|
10-digit card number where this will reduce the chances of number repeats or duplicates in large card volume. Identities mismatch might happen when there are duplicates card number and this will cause error to attendance report. It's all-in-one-card 13.56MHz contact-less smart card technology provides highly secure encryption options, scalability, multi-application support and unrivaled application flexibility. |
